Jacqueline Sheehan is a writer and a therapist. Her first novel, Truth, was published in 2003 by Free Press of Simon and Schuster. Her second novel, Lost & Found, was published 2007 by Avon, Harper Collins. Lost & Found has been on the New York Times Bestseller List and has been optioned for film by Katherine Heigl, star of Grey’s Anatomy. Her third novel, Now & Then, was published in July 2009 by Avon, Harper Collins.

D M Gordon’s poetry and stories have appeared widely in journals, winning prizes and garnering fellowships. Her poetry collections include Fourth World (Adastra Press, 2010,) and Nightly, At The Institute Of The Possible, finalist for the Massachusetts Book Award and International Book Award. She lives in Western Massachusetts, where she has been frequently on the faculty for both Writers In Progress and Patchwork Farm Writing Retreats. She is an editor-for-hire at as well as as an editor at Hedgerow Books.

Pat Schneider, author of nine books including Writing Alone and With Others, Oxford University Press, and founder/director emeritus of Amherst Writers & Artists, offers writing workshops and retreats for beginning and experienced writers in her western Massachusetts home and around the world.

Yoga for Well Being where Arden Sundari Pierce, certified Yoga therapist, serves groups and individuals specializing in therapeutic and adaptive approaches for health and happiness. All levels, abilities and ages are welcome. She established Yoga for Well-Being in 1992 and teaches in Western Mass and beyond.

Studio Writing provides information about AWA-style workshops for adults in the Metro West area near Boston.

Susan Lawson offers workshops using AWA methods for beginning and experienced writers in central Indiana. Her site also invites viewers to “look through her frame” and explore her writing and the process behind it. The bonus is they also get a close-up look at how a writing group works and what results a participant can expect.

Write Angles has become known as “the little conference with big content.” It is held annually on the Mt. Holyoke College campus. Organized by a devoted group of volunteers, WriteAngles has been featured in the Writer’s Digest “Conference Scene” as one of four “budget-friendly events.”

For over 20 years, the Jackson Hole Writers Conference finds writers with a passion for the word coming to Grand Teton National Park’s backyard every summer for the Jackson Hole Writers Conference.
